2009 Bayou Boogaloo Highlights
The 2009 Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo was Louisiana's first green music and arts festival with Solar powered stages, Bio-Diesel generators, locally grown and organic foods, a comprehensive recycling program and sustainable living and coastal restoration education. As always the Festival was a family-friendly event with a kids stage and games and activities for children.

Soul Rebels Brass

One of the most prominent brass bands to hail from the Crescent City in recent years, the Soul Rebels bring together the sizzle of old school soul, the swagger of modern day hip-hop and the spirit of tradition brass. Their talents have taken them on tour the world over, and their all night romps at Le Bon Temps Roulé have made them favorites here at home. Their music is fresh, funky, visceral and vibrant - the true spirit of New Orleans.
