The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo has enabled MotherShip Foundation to reinvest in the community by planting oak trees along Bayou St. John, launching an anti-litter initiative, and becoming a valued community partner to organizations throughout New Orleans that rely on the annual festival to generate exposure and raise funds for their services.
Interested in becoming a community partner? There are several ways you can join us! Existing community partners must also update your contact information by filling out Application Part A. The deadline to apply is February 1st, 2017.
Thank you to our 2016 Community Partners!
Friends of Lafitte Greenway: FOLG offer everyone’s favorite nostalgic treat via the world’s first Root Beer Float Float! That’s right, festival goers can visit their booth by land or by sea. Special thanks to Fest Cola for sponsoring the float with their Pecan Root Beer.
Upturn Arts: You’ve never had a better snowball than the deliciousness served up by Upturn Arts! This goodness is made possible thanks to the FRESH FRUIT mixology sponsored by New Orleans’s own Beaucoup Juice. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic flavors will be available.
Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Association: FSJNA members post up all weekend long slinging daiquiris near the Urban South Lafitte Stage. We’re all enjoying their neighborhood, so be sure to go by and give them some love in return.
Morris Jeff Community School: The daiquiri booth near the Bryan Subaru Dumaine Stage is manned by the brave pre-K students of Morris Jeff Community School. Just kidding! However, their dedicated parents, faculty, and friends serve up the ice cold treats all weekend and love to help add to the smile that will already be on your face.
